QUESTIONS
Is bedding
provided?
Yes bedding is provided and
beds are made for your arrival.
Do we have to clean
the accommodation when we leave?
We ask that all accommodation
is left clean and tidy, rubbish emptied, dishes put away, cooker & crockery
all left clean, as you would expect it, when you arrive. A housekeeping starter
pack is provided including dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponge,
cloth, toilet roll and bin bag. Other basic cleaning materials are provided.
For a small fee we can do your final clean-up for you.
What is included in
the price?
When we holiday ourselves we
don't like to face a bill at the end of our stay, so Electricity, electric
heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi access are all included in the
price.
Is there a washing
machine or dishwasher in the lodge?
There is neither a
washing machine nor dishwasher in the lodge but there is a laundrette in Dunoon
(Cromlech Laundry, 10 mins) with washers and dryers. Service washes are also
available.
What T.V. channels
are there?
In both BRAMBLE and in
HAWTHORN there is Catch-up TV with Movie Streaming .
Where are the nearest
shops?
The nearest shop is located
at the Cot House Service, 5 mins away, with most basic provisions and is open
early until late. There are other shops at Sandbank and in the town of Dunoon,
10 mins.
Can I get a signal on
my mobile phone?
Yes there is a good mobile
signal on most networks
Are dogs allowed in
any of the accommodation?
Much as we love dogs (we have
one ourselves) dogs are not allowed.
Are children
allowed?
Sorry, nither Bramble nor
Hawhorn is suitable for children.
Do we have to pay to
use the Wi-Fi connection?
Wi-fi access is free of
charge.
Are towels or
toiletries provided?
Bath towel and hand towels,
also tea towels are provided. Some basic toiletries are
provided.
When can we arrive
and depart?
Your lodge will be available
after 4pm on Arrival Day, and you must depart by 10am on Departure Day, but you
can request Early Arrival from 2:30pm or Late Departure to 11:30am each for a
small extra charge
Can I smoke in the
lodge, have candles or a barbecue?
All our lodges are No
Smoking. The cabins are made of wood so we ask guests who do smoke to smoke
away from the lodges. We are sorry bu Barbecues are not permitted. There
are public sites nearby for this. Candles and naked flames are not
permitted inside the lodge.
Can I cook in the
lodge?
Each cabin is equipped with a
kitchen with 4-ring induction hob with electric oven, microwave oven,
pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There are also several
country inns, restaurants, cafes and coffee shops nearby or within a 10 min
drive.
What do I do with
rubbish?
Please dispose of rubbish
using the bins on site. There are presently limited recycling facilities
(glass is not collected). Please separate your rubbish: Clean cans, cartons,
paper and plastic bottles can be recycled in the Blue outside bin; other waste
in the Green outside bin. PLEASE TAKE BOTTLES AND GLASS HOME, deposit in the
Green Bin or recycle at Sandbank on A815. Council Bin collection:
